Introduction til Programming ... in C#

The goal is for this to become a coursebook introducing new BSc students to programming, with a focus on the C# programming language.

Philosophy behind the book:

• The role of a course introducing programming is to create a technical foundation, not to please the industry. Ideally, students of such a course can -- in time -- bring positive change to the industry.
• Practice should be rooted in theory.
• The why is just as important as the how, if not more so.
• Concepts are more important than concrete implementations.
• Concrete implementation choices can often be highlighted by contrasting to other implementations.
• Focus should be on concepts to root an understanding in rather than patterns to memorize and and apply.
• Students should be able to look to educational material for good examples of how to write.
